COVID UPDATES
For your safety, that of myself, my family and the community are top priority, so the procedures that I would be putting in place for treatments to be undertaken are:
I will: -
- check my temperature before every shift (if over 37.8C, then appointments will need to be rescheduled)
- wear a type II face mask (medical grade), visor, apron (disposable or freshly laundered) and disposable gloves at all times. (You won't recognise me!) An additional nail bar screen will be in place for manicure treatments
- wear disposable gloves throughout your treatment, wash hands before commencing and after ending a consultation, and use hand sanitiser as appropriate
- avoid unnecessary personal contact with the client and their possessions
- keep the treatment room as free of products/equipment as possible, only the equipment/products needed for your treatment will be out on display. I will use disposable items where possible.
- allow at least 30 mins between clients to thoroughly clean and sanitise the treatment room, the salon has always had high standards of hygiene, but I am going above and beyond the guidelines, all products, surfaces and tools will be sanitised after each client, all linens are changed between clients.
- not be providing hot refreshments at this time, water will be provided in disposable cups.
- be keeping your details for Track and Trace system if needed.
- keep the treatment room well ventilated.
-undertaking Lateral Flow Tests on myself twice weekly
What I need you to do:-
- The day prior to your appointment I will send you a text with covid statements to confirm that you are ok to attend your appointment, please ensure you reply the day before your appointment. There is a
nominal PPE surcharge of £5 per appointment to cover for the additional safety measures that I have put in place.
- Come to your appointment alone and with minimal belongings. Please arrive for your appointment on time but no more than 5 minutes in advance, if possible, and
wait outside until called, no waiting area inside is available currently,
- On arrival, through the garage, which is the new entry point, I will ask you to sanitise your hands
and collect your fresh disposable type II mask from the sealed bag and put your mask on, please place
any small belongings that you have brought with you into the bag and seal. then I will approach you to take your temperature, if this is under 37.8C then we can proceed into the treatment room. You need to wear your mask for the duration of your treatment. (The only exception to this is for Dermalogica
facial treatments, electrolysis and lip waxing. I will do your consultation when you have your mask on and
then when your mask is removed, I would kindly ask that talking is kept to an minimum, until your mask is replaced).
- Once in the treatment room, there is a plastic box for any of your belongings, so please place anything in there and place the lid on.
- Please use toilet facilities prior to arriving at the salon for your appointment.
- After your treatment, collect all your belongings from client box. Please use hand sanitizer on your
departure.
I appreciate this is a lot of information, but knowledge is power, and I hope this helps you make an informed decision as to whether you think a treatment would be right for you at this time.
